The PARISS Micro-Spectrophotometer is radiometrically corrected using a N.I.S.T. certified emission
calibration lamp.
Radiometric correction is mainly used to compensate for variations in the quantum efficiency of a
detector. Therefore, spectra acquired on the PARISS Micro-Spectrophotometer are “standardized” and
can be compared directly with spectra taken on other radiometric (standardized) instruments.
